[Pratt Street Ale House now in this location, serving Oliver's beers]

House Brews:
Manchester Cream Ale
ESB
Summer Light
Irish Red (B)
Pagan Porter (J)
SW1 Amber Ale
Golden Best
Harvest Ale
Blackfriar Stout

Irish Red: Nice head, good clear red color. High in bitters. Body could be more substantial but not a bad beer. Not much aroma. Bitters really dominate the taste and finish. 7.8
John's note on the Red: A little lighter in color than the average red. Nice head. Definitely on the bitter side. Comparable to Blue Ridge ESB. 8.0

Pagan Porter: Nice porter color. A good head, although a little lacking in staying power. Just a hint of a chocolate taste, although a little more would have been nice. A little hoppier than the average porter. A good ber, which is close to being an excellent beer. 8.3
Becky's notes on the Porter: A good beer which would be an excellent beer if slightly more chocolately. A bit more bitter than the porters I've enjoyed most (admittedly porters are my forte). Quite bitter on the finish. 8.0

Overall: both had good balance and body. Heads, foamy at first, died readily.
