House Brews:
Coffee Porter (B)
Mild Brown Ale (almost near beer at 3.3% ABV)
Al's Cask Ale (sample)
El Nino Ale (J)

Porter: Nitrous tap. Thick head - not surprisingly. Aroma - somewhat briny. Not obvious whether hops or malts dominate or even blend. Flavor leans more towards the thick bitter stout than a "coffee porter". It is unexpected but not unpleasant. Flavor is well balanced but muted. This is an odd porter but a pretty good stout! 8.0

El Nino Ale: This has a moderate head. Pleasant hoppy aroma. Good body for a pale ale. Hops predominate in the taste. It could use more malt for taste. This is a complicated beer - the body is good and there is an interesting varierty of tastes. With better balance, this would be an excellent beer. 8.2

Cask Ale: Somewhat cloudy look. Quickly dissipating head. Aroma has qualities similar to many good Scotch Ales - a sour "mash" type aroma with some maltiness. The beer is served warm/room temperature. An enjoyable mouthfeel as the beer seems to expand in the mouth until the flavor is experienced throughout. Then is slowly dissipates as the swallow moves down the throat. This is not the best Scotch Ale I have had but it is quite.... well.... entertaining. Body somewhat thin. 8.2
