Seasonal: Winterfest Ale (J)
Bock: Dark blackish red. Foamy head, but it dissipated very quickly. Not real aroma. A cider-like tart finish. Almost no hops. Decent body. Much lighter in flavor than I expected for a bock. Not that impressive a beer. 7.2
Winterfest Ale: I'd bet Mega [referencing a friend at the time who enjoyed clove cigarettes] would like this beer. Can you say cloves? The clove taste is overwhelming. A nice medium red color. The head disappeared quickly. It needs more body. The brewery also needs a lighter touch with the cloves. It got a little better as it got warmer. 7.0
