Microbrewery, not a brewpub. Brewpub was to open in 2 months.
Samples:
Lilikoi Wheat Ale: Passionfruit flavored. Nicely subtle. Refreshing. Quite enjoyable - subtle and quite tasty. 8.7
Fire Rock Pale Ale: Hoppier. Well-balanced with a bright finish. Two types of this beer offered - one mellower and one hoppier. 8.4
Pacific Golden Ale: Crisp, less hoppy. Almost fruity. 8.2
John's Postscript (written 2 days later): The more I think about these beers, this is a good operation. This is an excellent microbrewery. I hope the next time we're on the Big Island, we see them everywhere and the brewpub is thriving!
