Stumbled into the middle of a class reunion.

Scottish Ale: Murky light brown color. Little head (server did spill some). Thich wheaty/yeasty aroma. Malt comes into mouth when opening to sip. Very well balanced malt tones - more than one is apparent. Could stand a bit more hops - very little in the way of finish. Body somewhat thin - no warming glow as is usual in Scotch Ale types. Is not a complex beer, but is tasty. 8.3

Porter: Reddish brown color. Body is somewhat thin. A complex malty taste but the hops are out there. Somewhat lighter than normal for a porter. The balance is pretty good but not perfect. The taste sometimes comes in at a different part of the swallow. Not perfect, but quite tasty. 8.4
