Simple but comfy restaurant on Newark's small main drag. Serving brunch this Sunday.

Pig Iron Porter: Noted as being "Philly's favorite beer" in 1997. Deep brown color. Faint but long-lasting head. Malty aroma. Quite possibly one of the best porters I've tried. The porter expert in the house says it's on the same level as Blue Ridge and Catamount. Not as up as Prescott. Wonder if that will ever be topped? (will be fun looking). More of a coffee base than chocolate. A very drinkable beer! Well balanced, good body, a fine finish! No complaints! 8.7

Lodestone Lager: A gold medal winner at GABF! Lager is normally not my favorite style but this is a very drinkable beer. A malty start - the hops show up at the finish. A nice, fruity aroma. Becky says it is very refreshing. The carbonation has staying power. I could very easily see downing several of these on a hot summer day - of course, I better not drive anywhere afterwards. Delicious! 8.6
